All Bushing Compensators are threaded .575x40 And Bull Barrel Comps are threaded
.685x40.  Made of either 4140 Carbon Steel in the white or 416 Stainless Steel. Bushing style
comps and Bull Barrel Comps are available on request in 2024 Aluminum for experimenting
(only 40% the weight of steel). STANDARD Cone Diameter is .699-.701. The cone should fit
into your slide but will need a little metal removed from the top of the cone for barrel lockup.
OVERSIZE  diameter available on request (.710+).   Coned comps fit on standard size barrels
that can be or are threaded. The barrel bushing will be removed and replace by the cone of
the comp. Reverse plug will need to be added. All coned comps can be special ordered with
shorter cone for installing on Bull Barrels (must specify when ordering). Cone will be
oversize and need to be blended into the contour of the bull barrel. To be installed by a
competent gunsmith.   NOTE- In general, comps are not to be installed on pistols shooting
light loads. The bigger the comp, the more it will slow down the cycling of the slide. A lighter
recoil spring will need to be used (usually 2-4lbs. lighter). Slide lightening may be required
depending on the caliber and load used.  
Standard bushing design. Fits on extended barrels threaded
.575x40. You use the standard barrel bushing and the comp
fits over it. Aluminum 2 Piece coned style also available.

Standard Cone Style. Cone replaces the barrel bushing. Slide
needs machined for Reverse Recoil Spring Plug. Can be
installed on standard barrel if it is threaded .575x40.
4 Port Cone or Bushing Style
with a bleeder. The bleeder
helps reduce the recoil as it
bleeds off excess gas pressure.
Good choice for Pin Guns.
MODEL 4          LARGE 3 PORT
Designed for 9mm/38S. Works good on slides
lightened to around 10.5oz. The larger ports
allow the gas pressure to vector upwards easier
since it doesn't make as abrupt a turn.

to around 10oz. Can be ordered without all of the bleeder
holes or just some of them.

2 Port bushing style. For those that don't need a bigger competition
job. Requires a threaded extended barrel that uses the standard
barrel bushing setup. The comp fits over the bushing.

2 Port Cone Style. Length of Comp portion is about .900. Originally designed for
Colt Commander length slides. When installed, it isn't much longer than a
Government Slide.  Or it can be installed on any 1911 if a larger competition job
isn't needed. Can be installed on stock barrel if threaded .575x40. Slide requires
machining for Reverse Recoil Spring Plug.

Coned compensators can can be special ordered with short cones for installing on Factory  Bull Barrels. The
cone will be about an inch long and over size. The Bull Barrel will need to be turned down and threaded .575x40
for about an inch. The cone will need to be machined down to blend in with the contour of the Bull Barrel.
